Climate Costa del Sol, the sunny coast, has an unbeatable climate. It does not really matter when you rent. During the summer months of July and August it may be hot mid day , especially in August, BUT the pace of living is different to the rest of hard working Europe! Shops normally open early at about 8 a.m. and close between 2 and 5 p.m. for Siesta (rest). Society lives up again during late cooler hours. People do not start thinking about dinner until about nine. AND THE EVENINGS AND NIGHTS ARE FORMIDABLE! THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE PERFECTLY TEMPERED LATE EVENINGS MAKING YOU WANT NEVER TO GO TO BED! A further advantage is the absence of mosquitoes. OK, sometimes there are some but compared to northern Europe it is really nothing. Yes, there is a rainy season but that season is unreliable because it either happens or it does not. Christmas can be like the finest summer days but it can also be a rainy period. Nobody knows. The absolute majority of days are sunny and agreeably warm. That is what differs from the northern part of the Mediterranean, where winters are almost always chilly and damp. The beach and the sea San Pedro Beach Guadalmina Next to the Guadalmina urbanization, is a 1.600 m long beach. This beach qualifies as a tourist beach with a medium occupation level. Different water sports can be found here such as windsurfing, jet skiing, pedalos, etc. Close by is the four star Guadalmina Hotel, there are also two beach clubs and several chiringuito beach restaurants with sun beds. As a part of our urbanization are the Bovedas, 3rd century historic ruins, situated within a protected archaeological area. This beach is only 90 metres away and you can lazily walk there in a dressing gown before breakfast and have a long (or short) and refreshing sea swim totally alone. Then coming back for breakfast on the terrace enjoying the sun from the shadow. Sitting on the terrace or lying in the garden, you can hear the calm waves hitting the sand nearby. There are two luxurious houses between the Casa Agnes and the beach which is a great advantage. When there is a storm, the terrace is still calm enough to peacefully enjoy lit candles! Then of course there is always the possibility to use the private pool, which has a jet stream current, allowing endless exercise swimming.
